It's been more than a year since we heard from Lorde, the Kiwi singer-songwriter who the world first heard through the 2012 The Love Club EP and later the Pure Heroine album. Now, we could be hearing new music from her as early as Friday this week.
An eagled eyed viewer - in the form of New Zealand TV personality Jack Tame - spotted this television commercial Monday evening.
Whoa!! Just saw super cryptic ad tvnz1.. is this the new @lorde album? pic.twitter.com/WlY0U54QLc— Jack Tame (@jacktame) February 27, 2017
Anyone for a milkshake?
This did not go unnoticed by the singer, who tweeted "u hungry?" early Tuesday morning, before linking to a website featuring the reveal video at the aptly named "imwaitingforit.com". The website's title is "M*******A", a possible hint to the title of a new album.

The video features two dates - March 2nd for NYC and March 3rd for New Zealand - we'd expect new music to drop then. She'll also feature on Saturday Night Live on March 4th, and at Coachella in April, reason enough for us to speculate that there's more than just a single in the works.
