It's been a while since The Killers released any new music, but frontman Brandon Flowers has been quite insistent on keeping his music career going by working solo. He did it before in 2010 with "Flamingo", his debut solo album which managed to take him to #5 in the Australian charts and he's in the lead up to dropping another LP, preluded by two singles, "Can't Deny My Love" and "Lonely Town".
In an interview recently with The Rolling Stone, Flowers dropped hints that he would like to work on a new album with The Killers and that it was just a matter of getting everyone in the right headspace - passion over money. Brandon then went on to say "I think we need a little bit of a kick in the pants, and hopefully it's coming".
Using that as a poorly constructed segue, one thing that is coming on May 18th is a second solo album - "The Desired Effect". It'll hit the shelves and if the first two singles are anything to go by, man are we in for a treat!
