2015 ARIA Nominees Revealed!

It's nearly that time of year again where the Australian music industry gathers in Sydney to acknowledge the best Australian music from right across the spectrum! We know this because today, ARIA announced the nominees for each and every category.

Tame Impala have the potential to clean up on the night with 4 nominations, including for Album of the Year, where the Freo lads face some decent competition from Vance Joy, Flight Facilities, Hermitude and Courtney Barnett.

Jessica Mauboy will be hoping to break the curse of the Idol contestants with another nomination for Best Female Artist, however she is facing some formidable competition, charged with the not-enviable-at-all role with being up against the unstoppable Sia for 'Elastic Heart'. Throw in Meg Mac and Megan Washington (you can hear the cheers from Matt's house from here for that one) and it would sadly appear that the curse could very well continue for another year.

That is, unless Guy Sebastian can take out best male artist for 'Tonight Again', and on merit, it certainly has a chance. Vance Joy, Jarryd James, #1 Dads and a refreshed Daniel Johns will be fighting it out to steal Guy's thunder.

Of course, that's just a brief summary, so we've also attached a list of every award including nominees in addition to the Fine Arts and Artisan awards, where the winners for those were announced today.

The 2015 ARIA Awards is on November 26 in Sydney.
